HETAWEEN 2011
BEST
HALLOWEEN
EVENT
EVER,
HANDS DOWN.
Everyone’s costumes were delightful, I mean, GRANDMANO? Freaking almost pissed myself from LAUGHING.
When India showed up in a Bollywood-esque entrance with Prussia, all these emotions just…BURST.
Luxembourg and Tonga, even if your guys’ faces weren’t seen, we were still ecstatic to know that the two of you existed.
I remember CLEARLY losing my all my shit when Robin!England showed up with Batman!America. My USUK fangirl self just about DIED and EXPLODED.
IT JUST MADE MY WEEK.
Sadly, the event is over, but fret not! there’s still the 2012 Christmas Bloodbath to look forward to!
Hetaween 2011 will never be forgotten and will always remain in our hearts and in LJ posts, tumblr posts and Facebook posts. We will never forget the F5 battles, crack songs, Trollmaruya, HST, delays and just about everything about the event. All of this will be burned in my memory.
Hetalia Fandom, I love you. And every single one of the Hetalians in the Fandom. We are all a large, amazing family.
Himaruya Hidekaz, I owe you a very large THANK YOU. And that is not even enough. I wish I could express how much I APPRECIATE your creation. But, again,
THANK YOU, HIDEKAZ HIMARUYA, FOR EVERYTHING.
I have so much I want to say, but I don’t think this post will even convey and express half of the feelings that’s bubbling in my heart. However, I will say that Hetalia is one of the best things that’s happened to me. I know for others it may have led them to slip away from the fandom, but for me, I will stay in in this fandom, perhaps for a long time.
I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS FANDOM!
LONG LIVE HETALIA!
-E.
Can’t I get any more dramatic?! Haha, oh well.
After close encounter with a car, writer bids farewell to seeing eye dog

Chicago writer Beth Finke recently parted ways with a dear friend, her seeing-eye dog Harper. Finke explained on Eight Forty-Eight how a near accident proved Harper’s dedication but ultimately meant separating from her trusty companion.
A fond farewell to Jodie...

On Friday 7. October we sadly bid Farewell to our popular receptionist Jodie. She originally joined us through a Government initiative under a “Work & Income” scheme which encouraged employers like ourselves to create additional jobs in a tough economy. Under the guidance of Marie, our Office Administrator Jodie settled into her new role quickly and became a valuable member of our team. Her bubbly personality and friendly smile made her popular with customer and staff alike.

When Megan, our other front-desk person took maternity leave Jodie willingly took on the extra responsibility however sadly not long after Megan’s return to the office an exciting opportunity arose for Jodie with the new found skills to move ahead in life and she took up the challenge. We are so pleased we’ve been able to help one of our young “kiwis” to a better future.

We gave her a great send off and farewell gift and toasted to her future success. Good on ya Jodie, all the best from all your friends here at Barfoot & Thompson.
