Chapter One Hundred and Eight
We followed the sounds of gunshots and thunder until we came across a clearing where Mr Sillypants was under heavy attack. We watched closely from our vantage point, hidden in some bushes.
“I didn’t come here,” he was screaming as bullets bounced off him harmlessly and he absorbed the bolts of lightning, “to fight you!”
This went on a while longer, the attacks going on and on and Mr Sillypants screaming in vain, until a man who I recognized as a much younger Vincent Virstone called an end to the attacks.
He walked up to Mr Sillypants as the guards parted, and stood before him. Mr Sillypants floated up into the air, helpless and unable to move.
“Who are you,” he asked, “and why do you want to help us destroy the world?”
“I was sent down by God,” he explained, “to help you. He is at peace now, content with the knowledge that you are calling his Fist down from the heavens to smite the wickedness of this world. I was sent so that he would not be disturbed from that peace… so that he would have a guarantee that this world was ending, after all.”
“A guarantee… of peace?” whispered Theodora.
Hmm… what was he up to? What kind of agreement had he and The Keeper struck?
Musaylimah, the false Prophet
Of All the imposters and false Prophet’s who rose in Arabia after the death of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), the most notorious and dangerous was Musaylimah, who belonged to the Banu Haneefah tribe of Central Arabia.
Musaylimah visited Madeenah during the lifetime of the prophet, and enjoyed the privilege of his company for some time. On return from Madeenah, Musaylimah, however, claimed himself to be a Prophet of Allaah.
Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) illness becoming serious, asked Musalimah to abondon his pretension. However, Musaylimah sent an impudent letter to the Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam):
In the name of Allaah, the Compassionate, the Merciful, from Musaylimah Allaah’s Messenger to Muhammad Allaah’s Messenger peace be on you! To proceed! I am a partner with you in authority. For you are the cities and for me are the villages. For you is half of the earth and for us its half, but the Quraysh are a people who transgress.
Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) replied,
In the name of Allaah, the Compassionate the Merciful. From Muhammad, Allaah’s Messenger to Musaylimah the liar. Peace be on him who follow the guidance. To proceed! The earth belongs to Allaah. He lets whom He will of His creatures inherit it and the end (or the result) is for the righteous.
When the prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa salaam) passed away, Musaylimah Kadhdhab presumed that he was the sole authority. He looked upon his people with disdain, and they obeyed him. He formed a new creed, where he absolved his followers from the obligation of Siyaam and Zakah, reduced the the number of daily prayers to three, and made adultery and drinking lawful to the people. He also forbade his followers to cohabit with their wives once they had become mothers. In imitation of the Qur’aan he recited rhythmical sentences and bits of doggerel.
`Amr bin Al-`As went to visit Musaylimah Al-Kadhdhab after the Messenger of Allah was commissioned (as a Prophet) and before `Amr had accepted Islam. Upon his arrival, Musaylimah said to him,
“What has been revealed to your friend (Muhammad ) during this time”
Amr said, “A short and concise Surah has been revealed to him.”
Musaylimah then said, “What is it” `
Amr replied; (By Al-`Asr. Verily, man is in loss. Except those who believe and do righteous deeds, and recommend one another to the truth, and recommend one another to patience.)
So Musaylimah thought for a while. Then he said, “Indeed something similar has also been revealed to me.”
`Amr asked him, “What is it”
He replied, “O Wabr (a small, furry mammal; hyrax), O Wabr! You are only two ears and a chest, and the rest of you is digging and burrowing.” Then he said, “What do you think, O `Amr”
`Amr said to him, “By Allah! Verily, you know that I know you are lying.”
[Tafseer ibn Katheer, Surah Asr]
His followers knew he was a liar. One of his followers said, “Liar of our village is dearer to us than the truthful one.”
Abu Bakr As-Siddeeq originally entrusted the operations to crush Musaylimah to Ikriah ibn Abi Jahl. Ibn Jahl’s army was defeated. Abu Bakr felt sad and distressed. Some time later, Sharhabeel arrived in the Yamaamah valley with his column. He also launched an attack against Musaylimah, he was also defeated. This raised the morale of the followers of Musaylimah who proudly declared that Musaylamah was indeed a Prophet and divine help was on their side.
Abu Bakr commissioned sword of Allaah, Khalid ibn Walid. Khalid ibn Walid defeated the army of Musaylimah. Musaylimah was killed by Wahshi ibn Harb, a man who had fough on the side of the Quraysh against the Muslim at the battle of Uhud, and has killed Hamza. Wahshi threw in a javelin at Musaylimah, while at the same time Abu Dujaanah rushed forward and fell on Musaylimah with his sword, until he fell dead. Thereupon the Banu Haneefah formallly surrendered. Among the Martyrs were Abu Hudhayfah, Zayd ibn Al-Khattab (Umar’s cousin), Abu Dujaanah, Yazeed ibn Aws, Yazeed ibn Thabit, and many distinguised persons from among the Ansaars and Muhajireen.

False Prophet
I the BreatherI, the Breather - False Prophet
This isn't written intelligently because I am too mind-blown.
Guys, guys, guys… Think about this for a second.
Jesus told us to be wary of false prophets. Guess what word is a homophone (words that sound alike, but with different spellings and meanings) of “prophet?”
The word, “profit.” And you know one of the biggest displays of Jesus’ anger (it may have been his only one, actually) was in the temple with the money-changers.
GUYS, MONEY IS SO MUCH OF A FALSE PROPHET THAT IT EVEN IS SPELLED THE SAME WHEN YOU MAKE MONEY- PROFIT.
I mean, yeah, I knew you can’t worship both money and God, but this is just so cool. It is not a happenstance by any means.
“The person who loves you most will tell you the most truth. One of the greatest distinguishing marks of a false prophet is that he will always tell you what you want to hear, he will never rain on your parade, he will get you clapping, he will get you jumping, he will make you dizzy, he will keep you entertained, and he will present a Christianity to you that will make your church look like a Six Flags over Jesus. And keep you so entertained you are never addressed with great issues such as these: Is God working in my life? Am I growing in holiness? Have I truly been born again?”
—Paul WasherTo the Bible-bashers...
Obviously most of you will use this failed May 21st prophecy (which isn’t even Biblical) as another reason to Bible bash. Don’t judge the faith based on a person (Harold Camping) who doesn’t even follow it.
Matthew 24:36
But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
