Honestly, though, this isn’t going to do anything.

The General Assembly has no official power at the United Nations other than to pass nonbinding resolutions.

The only branch of the United Nations that can force the United Kingdom to demilitarize and demobilize the South Atlantic is the Security Council.

However, the United Kingdom has a permanent, veto-wielding seat on the Security Council, and any idiot would realize that it’s not going to censure itself.

So, whether we like it or not, unless the people of the Falklands Islands request the two nations (one a great/world power and the other a regional power) to actually step up negotiations, the “last vestiges of the declining British Empire” will remain in their current state.
