I am such a failbot. I was cleaning my shower earlier today and slipped. I somehow landed on my elbow and my knee, and threw out my back for good measure. Now I’m laying on a heating pad surrounded by cats, waiting for the bruises to show up. I blame my mother — my middle name is Grace. She literally cursed me from the day I was born.
On the plus side, I posted the second installment of my Lokane fic on my AO3 account.
North Carolina is at it again.

So apparently in 1933 the Eugenics Board of North Carolina (EBNC) was founded. The primary purpose of this board was to sterilize people who was deemed ‘mentally defective or feeble-minded’ by authorities’(inmates and patients of publicly funded institutions) … But the board considered using sterilization as a tool to combat poverty and welfare costs (which from a cold hearted stance on the subject, it makes sense, less poor people that are able to have kids, that means less poor people, because we all know poverty is just a vicious cycle. And most people have no means to get out of it because of broke school systems in poverty stricken communities, no capable community programs to help kids become contributing members of society.)
So basically this article is about the states refusal to compensate people who were unjustly sterilized. So here is my concern… how have these people running the state not been strung up yet? How have they not been up against the wall… (Side note, I think they will be the first against the wall when the revolution comes.)
Here is the deal… people like this will never think objectively or logically. These people have misguided sense of morals, and what it is to lead a state. They failed when they chose to pass Amendment 1, they failed when they decided to disregard SCIENTIFIC DATA Proving global warming and the threat of raising sea levels (all for commercial monetary gain.) Our leaders are failing us, they are failing to make up for wrong doings, in fact they are going backwards on the social scale… AND THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT SUPPORT THIS! I can’t even wrap my head around this. This is a failure for human rights. This is a failure to all citizens of that state everything North Carolina is doing…
North Carolina, Might be crossed off the list of states I would ever consider living…
