Yahoo, please leave us peaceful peoples alone. We don’t want you. We’re perfectly happy meditating in our lonesome or fantasizing over our fandoms. Tumblr is a place where you don’t have to be social. I don’t even think it should be called social media, because we, the people of tumblr are anti-social. Therefore tumblr is anti-social media. Tumblr is not pinterest, nor facebook, or twitter. It’s not a little bit of everything, but something of it’s own. Something different. Trust me when I say we’re content with our owner and have no intent of giving him up because he’s the one keeping us anti-socials in our place by giving us a place to be who we are. You can’t be yourself on other sites like facebook, twitter, etc. On tumblr you can be who you want to be free of judgment except for the occasional hate mail because someone got angry because you’re better than them.
So bottom line I think we, the people of tumblr need to figure out a way to make sure this doesn’t happen. We know without a doubt that yahoo will bring tumblr to a sad end, change everything we love about it. So what are we going to do?
