New Season: Smokey Eye Palettes

As the darker evenings start closing in we can fully embrace another form of darkness; smoky nighttime eyes! This season there have been a host of new releases from different beauty houses ranging from designer offerings such as the “Classic Smoky Eye Palette” from Laura Mercier (€85 above) complete with travel sized brushes and the gorgeous, limited edition YSL Palette Noir Terriblement (€53). Both have on-trend sparkly, metallic shadows in them, designed to glimmer and catch the light as well as complimentary matte shades for creating depth.

There have also been plenty of new offerings from high street brands too but it’s The Body Shop “4 Step” palettes which really stand out as far as value for money goes - at €23.95, you get 4 shades of cream and powder shadow in either black/silver tones or warm brown/gold as well as an eyeliner & small blender brush.

If you’re looking for a serious bargain though, NYC have a new selection of palettes hitting the shops which cost €3.99 and are designed to compliment different, individual eye colours. These come with 4 metallic shades and a small blending sponge as well as an added bonus of a highlighter and eye primer as well. So, go forth and embrace your dark side, because this season, there’s something out there for everyone!
