i’m really gonna miss working at the ann hamilton exhibition. not trying to be poetic, but every morning walking in before the crowds entered was so serene. to see the white fabric just lay there still and all the empty swings waiting to be moved. that was honestly the best thing and i’m pleased that that’s something that’s permanently engrained in my thoughts. that image is something i love.
after closing tonight, while ann gave a toast, i thought how cool it actually is that over 20,000 people came (and that isn’t even a fair estimate) to experience this installation and how fulfilling it must be to impact people’s lives and bring joy to their day with art that was both really beautiful and fun. cos i think just the thought of that is insane and wonderful.
