Important Contemporary Prints from an American Collection

37 contemporary works from a private American collection will be offered Oct. 27th in the evening.
The biggest names in contemporary art, Warhol in spearhead, but also Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Rauschenberg. The exhibition will be introduced initially from Sao Paolo to Hong Kong before being shown from Oct. 23rd in New-York. The press release from Sotheby’s reveals that some of Warhol’s silkscreen prints, which will be offered for sale were purchased directly from the Factory at the time and have never changed of ownership.
The top lot of this collection is a portfolio, directed by Andy Warhol, with ten serigraphs produced by Castelli Graphics and Multiples Inc. estimated between 700,000 and 1.4 million $.
