Happy birthday to Eureka seveN: Astral Ocean!

It’s now been exactly one year since AO began airing in Japan; April 13th 2012. So, its celebrating its first birthday!

For such an occasion, I’ve uploaded all 24 tracks of the songs that composed the episode titles of AO’s series (similar to what ben did when he posted his compliation of the episode title tracks of E7). I compiled these as AO was airing, and I got a lot of help during that time (for eg., ben found the first three tracks for AO episode titles). Some of these might not be 100% correct, but I aimed to get the earliest-released songs with such titles most of the time.

Notes:

-Episode 21’s title reference, as far as I know, is an album called ‘World 2 World’ from the group ‘Underground Resistance,’ so the whole album is included in the file too.

-Episode 22’s title reference is from an EP of members from Underground Resistance who formed the group ‘Galaxy 2 Galaxy,’ however I chose a compilation album of theirs from 2007 because it contains all of their songs. The entire album is included.

-Iron Maiden’s Final Frontier is attached to Episode 23 despite being a 2010 song. The earliest I came across was a rap song from the 90s by MC Ren, and it didn’t seem to really fit with Episode 23 in my opinion. Iron Maiden’s Final Frontier at least relates to space and planets

-The earliest song of ‘The Door Into Summer’ I could find was by the Monkees (between 1960s and 1970s), but I chose Tatsuro Yamashita’s The Door Into Summer single from 1980 because its based off of the sci-fi novel that talks a lot about time-traveling and paradoxes.

AO Episode Title Tracks Pt 1 (Songs 1 - 10)

AO Episode Title Tracks Pt 2 (Songs 11 - 20)

AO Episode Title Tracks Pt 3 (Songs/Albums 21 - 24)

Enjoy!

A SONG BASED OFF OF NIJI?!?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO MY FEELINGS?!?!?!

I’m sorry guys…as soon as that song came on I started bawling like a little baby! I couldn’t even stop myself! This series is really over now…and it meant a lot to me…oh great…I’m starting to cry again….a show should not make me this emotional, but for some reason it is…Maybe it’s because Eureka Seven was the first real anime I ever got emotionally invested in. I just can’t believe it’s over…I complained a lot about how confusing this astral ocean was, but it got me in the end…especially when Eureka was screaming Renton’s name. And Seven Swell…based on Niji….WHY. I thought I was going to make it through without freaking crying and that song just destroyed all hopes of that happening. Too good.

Ok…I need to go cry myself to sleep now.
