-To all you ungrateful people out there.

I am no doctor, I didn’t attend a med school or get my BA of Biology, but I sure am the one you’ll be calling for when things are not going well. I’ll be the one that initially potentially saves your life or brings you back to life doing 60Mph with lights and sirens after you coded. I sure do match the description of a hero when I ease your pain and assure you that your in good hands when I introduce myself as your personal EMT. ALL my attention is focused on you and only you, MY life stops and my life joins paths with yours. Your struggle is my struggle, my job isn’t done until you are healthy again. It’s a selflessness occupation and that is why it’s not a job anyone could do. Emergency responders are the closest things we have to “Heros” in this cruel, dark world that’s fueled on money. I believe people that devote their own life’s to help others and expect nothing in return is the true test of how good of a person you really are. & I don’t mean that they just show up and “get by”, I mean the people that live and breath for it, the people whose lives revolve around it and like it not just because its fun to hangout at the station but because they have a deeper emotional feeling to help and value going home knowing you did your own little part in making the world a better place. Those are the people I honor and respect, they are the true hero’s I believe and I hope you feel the same way.

I'm pmsing and my friend sent me this link and I can't stop crying.

I’m worried about my east coast friends and family and I’m worried about the east coast in general and this storm is scary but like, they’re doing their best to respond to emergencies and stuff. I don’t know.

Don’t click the link if you are emotional.

“First responders rely on the drivers around them to keep them – and the people they’re helping – safe from harm. The stretch of road you call a commute, emergency responders call a workplace.”
