EXTENSION: EMERALD GRIPPA

This Friday, our good friend Emerald Grippa (Emi) will be showing new work at Quirk Gallery on Broad Street as part of First Friday’s monthly art walk.

Extension is a series of 12 delicate portraits that portray a world where adornment is everything and nothing is meant to last. Created using watercolor and graphite these figures seem almost ghostlike and calls to mind ideas of fragility and femininity.

Emi remains one of Richmond’s hardest working illustrators, consistently putting out new work and experimenting with new techniques. Her trademark illustrations are not to miss. Join us this Friday at Quirk.
