Leeds vs Manchester United sees old rivalry reignited

Leeds vs Manchester United sees old rivalry reignited

When Manchester United head to Elland Road to face their old rivals Leeds United there is always a fantastic atmosphere and not only between the fans. Both sets of players are always made well aware of what this means to the fans and tomorrow will be no different.

Manchester United are bound to still be reeling from their F.A. Cup third round exit at the hands of Leeds United in 2010 and will want to get one back over the great rivals. However, since it is the Carling Cup, it is highly likely that Sir Alex Ferguson will send out a number of his youths.

Sir Alex will also send out some of his more experienced players and it is likely that Michael Owen and Dimitar Berbatov could both get a start. Leeds United manager Simon Grayson is likely to field a strong side, however do not be surprised if he sends out a few youngsters of his own.

One to watch: Paul Pogba. The 18 year old Frenchman is highly regarded at Old Trafford and if he does get the nod at Elland Road, he could run the show from the centre of midfield.

Prediction: While Manchester United are likely to field a weakened team, they still seem to have the edge over a Leeds United side aiming to get back into the top flight. A Manchester United 3-1 win looks a likely outcome.
