Ridiculous? Or brilliant?

I have an ivory silk frock coat, thanks to a long-ago clearance sale when the local J. Peterman store was going out of business. (I wasn’t kidding when I said “long-ago”.) Anyhoodle, I just had the idea to applique subtle little drops of blood scattered on the hem, cuffs, and lapels, using tiny red glass beads. And then replace the buttons with the Elizabeth Bathory buttons from The Black Broom.

I cannot decide if this is absolutely brilliant idea, or if I’ve lost my mind. (HUSH, StuntHusband.) Thoughts from the rest of you?
