While Eide has a penchant for certain types of sounds: distorted sine waves, ghostly strings and the radically altered human voice; he combines these relatively small amount of sound sources into something far larger and imaginative. “The Boiling Fjords Orchestra”, for instance, resurrects a decaying orchestra out of what sounds like a desperate landscape, revealing their sound over the course of its four minutes.
Improvisation Environment for Accordion and Electronics
The environment is controlled and created by the performer. All electronics are manipulated by a foot controller that is programmed by a MAX/Msp patch.
CAnt kInd Set pLeAse Move
This is a piece for violin and electronics. All the electronics are triggered by a footpedal board. The piece use extended violin techniques including harmonics and glissandi. The electronics sounds are either manipulated in Audacity, created in SoundHack, or generated with Max/MSP.
