“They only make a fuss because you never invite me in without waggling your eyebrows at them,” Rakushun scolds, looking far too concerned about propriety for someone currently dressed only in a jaunty neck scarf.
“I have to give them something to think I’m being scandalous about,” Youko says, draining her cup and holding it out to be filled again, “or they start thinking of all the things I’m doing wrong that I don’t know about. Besides, I like seeing their faces when they realize how handsome you are.”
Rakushun buries his face in his teacup, somehow. “Your Majesty shouldn’t say such things. I thought you would have learned proper manners by now.”
But he still clinks her glass when she holds it up, promising gravely, “Never.”
And to think that here having pale skin means “stays inside their home and never take sun = lonely guy/girl” and “tanning skin = healthy person” :|
that’s only very recent though, pale skin used to be a sign that you were delicate and refined or whatever, and didn’t have to labour outside etc.

- How I feel about this character: Ivan, you are such a god damn weaboo but you are pretty cute so it’s ok, I guess.
- All the people I ship romantically with this character: Pao-lin, Edward
- My non-romantic OTP for this character: Ivan/Kotetsu
- My unpopular opinion about this character: I don’t ship him with Keith, oops. Other than that, I don’t think he’d be a full on weaboo for anime. I think he would be super enthusiastic about older anime though. I can see him liking Gundams.
