Working artist accommodations at EDCNY was so incredible. I catered to/met so many artists (Afrojack, the Bloody Beetroots, Carl Cox, Alex Young, Danny Avilla, Nadastrom, Empire of the Sun, DJ Fresh, Cosmic Gate, and MORE) and I was specifically sent to take care of Porter!!! He gave me the sweetest smile and ‘thank you’ and at the end of the night when I went to go clean up I totally found the sheet he wrote of the pyro cues he wanted during his set and wow I am so lucky to have been able to get that gig. I met so many awesome people working for Insomniac and after the festival we all just got drunk off of Dom Perignon and were actually set up with a cabana table at the Marquee by Dash Berlin!!!! Unofrtunately Dan and I weren’t able to make it in because we “didn’t have our ID’s” (we’re not 21) but still, it was such a wonderful opportunity and even just driving around the city was perfect after such an amazing weekend. I have Lynn’s (the woman who’s in charge of hiring the artists/hospitality) number and am in contact with her second-in-command and hopefully this could be the chance to do it again next year and maybe even work with Insomniac eventually. I can’t believe how quickly it happened and how perfectly it all worked out.
In other news, I didn’t sleep until I got on a plane at 8:30 this morning and currently I am in San Diego and feeling so utterly happy with life. I couldn’t ask for anything more than what I have right now.
