Artist Guy Whitby from Australia, will be coming out to receive additional congratulations for winning the recent Ebu-Arts contest. The contest, which ended November 20th, 2012, awarded him $10,000 for having a body of work most clearly dedicated to Ebu-Arts techniques and philosophies.

The exhibition will feature limited edition prints by Guy Whitby including his photo collage portrait of Dame Edna Everage, which is the current headlining piece for the Ebu-Arts Museum and Contest. The exhibit will additionally include work by Natalie Talocci and Alain Bellino, the two runner-ups for the Ebu-Arts contest as well as other Ebu-Art works.

The Ebu-Arts Exhibit offers a chance for the public to familiarize with the new Ebu-Arts movement of work: work which utilizes small works of art to create a larger universe of art. The Ebu-Arts Museum which only opened in Febuary 2012, seeks to display and promote Ebu-Art works and artists. A full definition of Ebu-Arts and additional examples of Ebu-Art works can be seen at www.ebu-arts.org

Guy Whitby’s work creates commentary or reactionary pieces in response to the society in which the artist lives while maintaining aesthetic standards of beauty. Inspired by Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky, Mr. Whitby’s work is created in terms of modular motives and divisional structures. The Ebu-Arts Museum is ecstatic to add several of his limited edition works to their collection.
