Oh yeah the community of that game is great. Genital monsters.
The game was rather underwhelming and the community was an absolute waste of time (at least while I was around, maybe they’ve improved, my guess is it’s just gotten further out of hand) but the game’s concept just hit on so many cool ideas that I still consider myself a fan of the vague concept of “Spore” even though I don’t play the game hardly ever
The months in anticipation of its release just had me thinking about all these things like large scales of time and watching trends that span centuries and alien anatomy and how anatomy influences the evolution of cultures so that non-humanoid things would shape culture to fit their shape and the birth of civilization and the beginning of things like language and life that we take for granted at this point and even though the final game didn’t really address most of these things to my satisfaction I was still thinking about them
