I'd just like to say, on the subject of Drunk Rose...

I’m beginning to get slightly paranoid because I’m starting to feel like everyone who already didn’t like Rose as a character because of how confusing she is will now disregard her completely because of the fact that she did this bullshit. But actually, I’m on top of the world right now. I’m literally so happy that this scene took place. For… um, forever, Rose has been the only Beta in Homestuck that hasn’t “lost their cool.” Dave had his whole thing with the smuppets, as well as Bro’s death; John had his whole feel-sesh with Vriska, as well as the Terezi-instigated death; Jade had to deal with her dreamself. Yes, I *guess* her Grimdark fiasco could count in this category, but that entire episode was very low-key on her part. We never truly got her opinion or “admittance of wrong-doing” about it. 

As Dave has already discovered in the scene, none of this really has to do with her being drunk. Rose is SCARED. Rose never gets scared. But here she sat, flipping her shit over an upcoming date with Kanaya. A character always needs that moment of failure before they can become “real”. And finally, right here right now, she ruined everything because she was scared. Which also shows that she really sincerely cares about Kanaya. She cares so much, in fact, that she overdressed, lost her head, and got drunk about it. I am just so ECSTATIC that my favorite character finally got this moment of self-deprecation, -discovery, and -development. I trust Hussie so fully right now it’s not even funny. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
