look realtalk as an art student we are ALL super snobs about the shit we like and the shit we don’t and the the shit we just think is straight-up not good
but man any tasteful person in the industry (ESPECIALLY illustration, which is a Small World nowadays with the internet and the amount of friend-groups that spring up even amongst professionals) just keeps their mouth shut about that shit in public
like if you wanna ask me for crit or opinions or whatever i’ll give it, or hell if we are close friends i will totally vent or gossip about how much we don’t like John Doe and he’s a hack or whatever but like hey
if you consider yourself any measure of a professional or hope to be one someday, disrespectfully dissing people on the fucking internet is just the stupidest fucking habit to develop, seriously, ditch it right the hell now because “shit-stirrer” is not a desirable quality for anyone, but especially not a commercial artist

discovered this band about two years ago and they’ve been able to remain quite obscure unlike wavves and best coast. which is nice because I think if I were to hear them on television or on the radio it would totally change the way I feel about their music. Summer Camp would feel completely relevant to today’s pop culture. they would feel completely REAL. where as right now when I listen to their music I feel like I’m in a dream. in a different time. in a different era. in a different world.
