Lets get something straight, hockey fans.
I used to side with the players, in the beginning of the lockout. And I used to think Gary Bettman was the Anti Christ. But at this point in the lockout, it is clear to see that the players and Donald Fehr are just as bad as Bettman because they are greedy. Bettman wanted a deal this week, okay guys? Research it. The players are being greedy and maybe if they had included the three things the NHL asked for this week, we would have hockey.
We can all agree Gary Bettman sucks, yes. But he is not at blame this week. We almost had a deal made this time around.
If the NHL Season is Cancelled, Who is to Blame? Donald Fehr
Gary Bettman may have been at fault in the past, but now, the biggest villain in the hockey world is NHLPA head Donald Fehr. Earlier this week, NHL players were ready to strike a deal and end the labor lockout, but it appears that Fehr advised them to hold out for more. The move backfired, and now the season might be cancelled. Hockey fans have had enough NHL lockouts to deal with, and this one isn’t going any better than the one in 2004-05 that forced the cancellation of the entire season.

NHL meets Mean Girls
Let me tell you something about Gary Bettman. We were best friends in middle school. I know, right? It’s so embarrassing I don’t even..whatever. So then in 8th grade, I started hanging out with Donald Fehr, who was totally awesome but then he moved to Toronto, and Gary was like, weirdly jealous of him. Like, if I would blow him off to go help work on a contract with Donald, he’d be like,”Why didn’t you come work on my contract?” And I’d be like,”Why are you such an asshole?” So then, for my birthday party, which was an all-hockey players and fans party, I was like,”Gary, I can’t invite you, because I think you’re a commissioner.” I mean I couldn’t have a Commissioner at my party. There were going to be players there with their gear. I mean, right? He was a COMMISSIONER So then his mom called my mom and started yelling at her, it was so ridiculous. And then he dropped out of hockey because no one liked him, and came back in the fall for NHLPA negotiations, he was all unreasonable and weird, and now I guess he’s locking out the league.
