Can I ask a favor?

To those of you who have your hair done at a salon:

Be on time or 5-10 minutes early, and if you have to wait for your appointment, please don’t be upset with your stylist; ninety-nine times out of one hundred, she’s running behind because the clients before you were late.

Christmas Don't Be Late

It took a lot of effort, to be honest. Christmas spirit was not Talia’s specialty. Still, her manor was tastefully decorated for the advent of her son. He was certainly no babe in a manger, and never had been. But no one had ever accused Damian Wayne of being the Christchild. 

Talia had a tree, tastefully decorated with stalks of red berries and gold. She had sweet-smelling garlands over the banister and from archways. A few lights here and there. Very classy, of course. There were very few presents beneath the tree - all for those closest to Talia. 

The one for Damian was a wrapped in red paper with a green ribbon and gold bow - of course, she picked the colors on purpose. She fretted in the kitchen with Christopher for hours to prepare (even if she was stuck on icing duty.) But there were holiday treats and hot, spiced ciders. A fire. 

All was ready for Christmas Eve with her son. 

An excerpt from an e-mail Ryan's professor sent to him:

“Finally, I can not accept any Final Student Portfolios after the 15 minute grace period. If you do not submit your Final Student Portfolio in class and you do not submit it on Blackboard 15 minutes after class ends, you have crossed the point of no return and your Portfolio will be sent to the abyss, which is inundated with the sound of cries and wailing and filled with little portfolio monsters that eat late papers.”
