Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

I’m a Christian with tattoos, so some people like to throw the Leviticus 19:28 verse my way in effort to make my beliefs appear contradictory to my appearance.
“Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.”
This was a verse meant for a specific people during a specific time. It does not apply when it’s not intended for paganism or idolatry. Just saying.
Puerto Rico is NOT Becoming a State
Or, at least not now.
The referendum on Puerto Rican ballots asked if they would like to maintain their current relationship with the United States. 53 percent did not want to continue the current political relationship. Another question asked those who chose this option what kind of relations they would favor; 65 percent favored statehood, 4 percent wish for independence, and 31 percent for “sovereign free association” (which would grant greater autonomy, but not independence).
So, no statehood yet. Sorry.
