My dearly missed friend Ryan Vega sent over this amazing mix mid last week without any warning what so ever and it couldn’t be any more far out!
Ryan and I worked together at Waterloo Records in Austin for a couple of years before he moved to Japan for a bit. He now lives in Los Angeles and continues to be cool without ever trying.
Musically this mix covers the post punk / dubby disco / dark wave side of the spectrum with a little odds and ends filling in the gaps. It sounds like something that would have come out in late 81 early 82, so to me it is pure gold.
