DIY: Asian Bun

Been having this Asian Bun hairstyle for a while and I have been getting compliments… And yes, even weird looks from people coz it’s a “weird” hairstyle in my uni. XD.

So, I decided to make a DIY Gif Tutorial on how to do an Asian Bun. I actually learned this before but I never had a chance to do it coz I <3 straight hair. But now, I’m back to my normal and wavy hair, I decided to go back to the Asian bun. ;))

This hairstyle is perfect for school, work and to hang out! :D For realz ~~

Step 1: Take a nice relaxing shower. XD

Step 2: If your hair doesn’t have that much volume, use some mousse that adds volume to your hair. ;). This is optional btw ~ :P

After applying it to your wet hair, let it dry or blow-dry. Whatever floats your boat. XD

Step 3: Your hair is completely dry. YEY! XD Time to prepare your “weapons”. ;)). All you need are 2 ribbons, one that will act as a bun(preferably a fat/big ribbon) & one that will make the bun. You’ll get it soon… And yes, something to accessorize the Azn Bun. ;)

Step 4: Now, using the big black ribbon, tie your hair into a high ponytail. I prefer putting on the side. You can also put it in the middle ~~ :)

Step 5: Now remember when I said that the big ribbon will act as a bun? Brush your hair around the ribbon. Covering the whole ribbon ~~

Step 6: Now, you get the other ribbon, a much thinner one…. and slowly, as if you’re tying your hair again but really you’re not! See carefully on the gif that I made small bump on one side and quickly put my ribbon on it. It’s a bit messy at first but you’ll get the hang of it. :) (If you see a grey box, click on it ~)

Step 7: If the other side isn’t balanced, just fixed it by pulling it SLOWLY. Though a messy bun is the IN right now ~~ :) (If you see a grey box, click on it ~)

Step 8: The excess hair? Simply twirl it around the bun but not too tightly. Your bun might get ruined. As you finished twirling it around, simply put the end under the thin ribbon OR you can use hairpins. :) (If you see a grey box, click on it ~)

Step 9: Add accessories to make YOU look cute. ;). (If you see a grey box, click on it ~) (If you see a grey box, click on it ~)

Step 10: YOU’RE DONE! :> YOU ARE NOW LOOKIN’ ALL ASIAN! XDD. Now, take pics and be vainnnnn…. Like me! XD

You can also add hairspray if you have fly away hair like me. :P. And if you have bangs, you can also do this! I actually have bangs too but since my hair is so curly… that my bangs are also curly! So, I’m lazy to straighten it everyday. >..>
