DIY: Revamped French Manicure
Supplies:
- 2 different colours of nail polish
- A clear topcoat
- FrogTape or something like it. It’s a low adhesive tape. A cheaper alternative could be using masking tape but first putting it on your clothes to remove some adhesive.
- Fancy scissors. Here’s what I used:

- I used a nail drying spray that you can find at basically any drugstore. It comes in an aerosol can like this. You spray the stuff on after each coat of polish to accelerate the drying process.

Step 1
Paint your nails with a base coat. Quick dry nail polish is preferable but not necessary.

Step 2
Once the base coat is no longer tacky, get some FrogTape and cut width-wise with your scissors. You don’t need very much!

Step 3
Put the piece of tape on your nails so you’re covering the lower 2/3 of your nail (for the French look.) Make sure it’s pressed on well so the paint doesn’t leak under.

Step 4
Paint on about 2 coats of the other colour. Make sure you paint the corners too.

Step 5
Let your nails dry. Peel the tape off carefully, and put your clear coat on. Ta-da! You now have groovy nails!
