“I often tell young people, because they always say, oh, Mr. Ai, I feel so bad because I don't think we can change a society like this. So, I often reply to them, I say, we are part of the society. If we can change ourselves, if we can act, so that means part of our society had changed. If more people can do so, then we can change the society.”

EU Literally Outlaws Dissent
telegraph.co.ukTHE European Court of Justice ruled yesterday that the European Union can lawfully suppress political criticism of its institutions and of leading figures, sweeping aside English Common Law and 50 years of European precedents on civil liberties.
The ruling stated that the commission could restrict dissent in order to “protect the rights of others” and punish individuals who “damaged the institution’s image and reputation”.
“Tolerate nothing that you feel is wrong by remaining silent... Be honorable in all things... Understand that anger is a part of life but never feed it”
—Glenn Beck,
This is a principle that I have tried to honor before I ever first heard of Glenn. If I’m able to articulate a dissent, I will speak. I’ll sometimes speak w/o being able to articulate.
Too often it seems I let the compounding outrages turn my attitude, if not angry, then disdainful. But most often I luv being able to meet the challenge on the battlefield of ideas.
