Hello there! I won’t go through the trouble of uploading all my old pictures on this blog, but here is one of my older pieces back in March 2009, “Electrifying”. From this point on, I’ll just be posting whatever I draw up here as a way to keep myself practicing. As you may have guessed, the current header at the top, “NOVURE YOUNGSTER” was made from this image.
More about this piece? The story behind it is of a character hero I designed named Adtonitis. His name means to stupefy as well as thunder or lightning. He is one of several gifted children with the ability to affect other people’s lives through a method called Trance which allows anyone under its influence to enter a dream-scape, sort of like astral projection if you’ve heard of it. In this world, the rules you set for yourself are the only limitation.
Adtonitis is heir to his family, a large mafia group known for its black market business of harboring these gifted children with similar abilities akin to Adtonitis. In their sick games, the children are used and sold through the black markets and are placed to fight each other as a big gambling business. The children are trained relentlessly when they’re young. The sooner the better. It’s like trying to learn violin before you can walk. Adtonitis is not here to continue the family business but rather to dismantle it completely. How he is still heir? Well, let’s just say I just gave you the gist of the story so I’ll leave it at that. :3
