Bucketlistmap: Putting the Awesome Back in Maps

Awesome Maps are makers of, well, awesome maps! After realizing that worldmaps have become kind of boring, some bearded Germans headed out

to make maps awesome again. Their illustrated maps are themed, so far they have released one for surfing, one for snowboarding and one for soccer. 

Here is what they look like.

With their latest idea - a bucketlistmap - , they are turning to kickstarter. A map with all the great places to see and great things to do, with the ideas of the crowd on kickstarter. 

They have already finished Africa and are looking for ideas for the rest of the world. 

Their video says it all. 

They already blew past their goal of $8000 to now more than $32000 with 2 weeks to go. 

The maps are all hand-drawn and illustrated. Hundreds of illustrations go into each map. 

Here is the first suggestion from a backer they have already made a reality. Diving the USS Oriskany.
