Unter dem Motto „Wecke Emotionen“ sind alle Kreativen, Grafiker, Designer und Werbeagenturen aufgefordert, eine Imageanzeige für die Würzburger Druckerei zu entwerfen. Wer sich mit seiner Idee dem kreativen Wettbewerb stellen möchte, hat bis zum 15. Januar 2010 Zeit. Den ersten drei Gewinnern des Awards winken Preisgelder in Höhe von 5.000 €, 3.000 € und 2.000 €.

What does good teaching look like?
The Student’s Union are looking for creators to design and make a range of prizes to award the best teaching staff and Course Reps at University of the Arts. We’re offering two £650 commissions to make trophies, and £75 for certificate designs.
The annual White Square Teaching Awards enable students to thank tutors, technicians and lecturers who go beyond the call of duty to inspire minds and cultivate talent. Students nominate teaching staff who they appreciate most, and the winners are selected by a panel of Course Reps from across UAL. Meanwhile, the first ever Course Rep Awards present a landmark opportunity to recognise some of the hard work and innovation that students put into the role of Course Rep.
We believe that staff and students who inspire students to fulfill their potential, who make an outstanding and long-lasting impact on students’ experience should be awarded. We welcome you to direct how this recognition will look; we are looking for work that you think recognises dedication, represents great teaching and expresses student gratitude.

Alba Prat - H&M Design Award 2013

When we visited the COLLECT Showroom during fashion week, we ran into Alba Prat, fashion designer in shell. You might not have heard of her yet, but we predict that you will soon desire a Prat in your closet. Hailing from Barcelona, Spain Alba Prat (31) studies fashion at the UDK (Universität Der Kunste) here in Berlin. She has just been selected as one of the eight finalists in the H&M Design Award 2013 competition. With her collection ‘SYN CHRON’, inspired by synchronization in the works of German artist Carsten Nicolai, Alba hopes to win an internship at Jonathan Saunders in London.
