‘Glee’s Cory Monteith Goes To Rehab With The Series Still In Production On Season 4
Glee star Cory Monteith has checked himself into rehab for substance addiction. The Fox musical dramedy has two more episodes from its current fourth season left to shoot. Filming on them will proceed as scheduled, with the sudden absence of Monteith’s Finn explained. “Cory is a beloved member of the Glee family and we fully support his decision to seek treatment,” Glee producer 20th Century Fox TV said in a statement. “Everyone at the show wishes him well and looks forward to his return.” Along with Lea Michele and Chris Colfer, Monteith has been prominently featured this season despite his character graduating from McKinley High last May.
Oliver Kieran-Jones Joins ‘Glee’ Cast As NYADA Glee Club Leader
Glee is bringing another new face to the mix. I’ve learned that the Fox dramedy, known for breaking fresh talent, has cast young British actor Oliver Kieran-Jones in a recurring role. (The show tends to cast newcomers as recurring and then promote those whose characters pop to regulars.) Kieran-Jones will play the leader of the glee club at NYADA, which new student Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) is interested in joining. (With the rigorous training at NYADA, do other college glee clubs even stand a chance?!) With the addition of a glee club, the New York storyline of the show will now more closely resemble the one in Ohio where New Directions in currently picking up the pieces after their shocking loss at sectionals.
Kieren-Jones’ only previous U.S. TV credit was an arc on the Showtime/BBC comedy Episodes as assistant-turned-filmmaker Andrew. He has extensive stage credits in the U.K., including co-starring alongside Kevin Spacey in Richard II and alongside Ralph Fiennes in Julius Caesar. Kieren-Jones is a graduate of the prestigious LAMDA, which is a real-life, London version of NYADA. He is repped by UTA, UK’s United Agents and managed by Inspire Entertainment.
DIFFERENT DEADLINE - NOW 25TH OF APRIL
IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO EVERYONE WHO IS OR STILL WANTS TO BE PART OF THE “I’M THE REAL” PROJECT.
I’ve been discussing this with a few people and came to the conclusion that it would be best to move the deadline to earlier so that the joke (I’m the real) is still fresh and not so worn out after a month. Also, I want Benedict to receive the book around the Star Trek London premiere so he has a bigger chance of reading it and just maybe reacting to it. I want to profoundly apologise to the people that had planned sending pictures after the new deadline. I just think that this will be the best way to go.
You can still send your pics until the 25th of April. All of the pictures I receive/reblogwill end up in the book and be send to Benedict (one picture per person; I’m won’t be putting in three different pictures of one person)
Again, I’m sorry if this caused any inconvenience.
