Dash Shaw Notes
Hey everybody. I took a ton of notes during the Dash Shaw presentation today. Some of these are things that Dash actually talked about and some of these are just my observations/ideas that I had while he was talking. If you’d like to remember some of the main points of the presentation or didn’t get to go, here they are.
- Tries to use a limited style of animation used by Tezuka, which he feels is closer to his ballpark than Disney style animation.
- Feels comics covers are difficult because he feels his strengths as a cartoonist are at orchestrating different elements on a page and that a cover requires a very pure focus.
