It's almost Darwin Day!

Ah yes, February 12 is almost here, a day better known to many within the scientific community as Darwin Day!
A day in which we celebrate the birth of the man who gave us:
- Natural Selection!
- The Origin of Species!
- The Descent of Man!
- Finches!
- And one of the most glorious beards in the history of science!

So yeah, in case you couldn’t tell, I’m geeking out pretty hard. I do for most scientific holidays, but my inner biologist just goes crazy for Darwin Day.
I just spend all day observing nature, and basking in the glorious knowledge that all life on this planet is connected through evolution; birds, insects, mammals, reptiles, plants, arthropods, even bacteria.

AMAZING. JUST. AMAZING.
Charles Darwin may not have been the first to promote the idea of common ancestry, but that doesn’t make his contributions to science and our collective understanding of the natural world any less profound.
So how about you, my fellow science lovers?
Do you celebrate Darwin Day? And if so, how?
