Contemporary Art and......Barneys?

Fashion and art together can only mean one thing - powerful imagery and meaning.  After 9 months, the new window installation that’s comprised of contemporary art and fashion at the Madison Avenue flagship of Barneys New York has finally been exposed and will be viewable through July 4th.  The installation marks a collaboration between the store and the Athens-based DESTE Foundation for Contemporary Art, which was founded and run by renowned art collectior Dakis Joannou.  This is the first US presentation of the destefashioncollection, which was created by DESTE Foundation as a creative approach to showing off the deeper cultural significance of fashion .

Consider this a public art exhibition that you will not want to miss.
