Time Speeds by [Steve]
It seemed like yesterday that Ben was babbling, his fingers gripping at a bottle but then the small baby had become a budding little boy with straw hair and a wobbling crawl.
It was a slow process and Ben had been slower than the average little baby to crawl. He had always fumbled and fallen. Now he was two, his words had started. Mostly a few phrases were his favorites and one of them was of course ‘daddy’.
“…Daddy!Daddy! Daddy~”he called out in the playpen, his hands waving about as he gripped it. He had just started walking but it was feeble and so he relied more on crawling.
Just a sudden dose of parenthood.
The sudden arms around him were new, this was all new. Blue eyes set against pale skin as he looked at the man that held him. A new face that had not been seen before…hushing him. Gently whispering but it was still unfamiliar…this was all so new…and he looked at the man, his face fixing into a fussy expression but the rocking was gently and calming…
Around halfway through the first quarter, Bruce slipped into the stadium, using Steve’s card to get in without having to pay. He had some fears about going to the game, and he didn’t care that much for football, but he wanted to see Steve play, and most the people who would normally give him a problem were on the football field. He got his seat within the crowd, not sure if Steve would see him.
