DA and I had discussed doing something for our 3k follower mile marker, but last week we still figured we had a few weeks or more before actually reaching it. (we had just reached 2,800 followers then)
We did not anticipate Dante Basco.
And I, high on caffeine and fandom-spurred excitement at 4am in the morning made that Special Post, never anticipating the explosion of activity to follow.We gained almost 200 followers in two days. We need a bigger celebration.

And I’m draconicAlgorithm here to say… we’ve decided to do a giveaway! Of what, you might ask? Well, I’ll be making three scalemates, and Salahare will be making nine laminated badges!
Here’s how the winners will go:
The first three winners will receive a scalemate of any two solid colors (one for the body, one for the tummy, plus whatever color eyes you’d like) OR in the likeness of any Homestuck character. They will also receive one of Salahare’s badges with any design of their choice. (Examples can be seen here!)
The next six winners will also receive a laminated badge with a design of their choice each.
Now, for the rules:
- One reblog and one like per person. No reason for anyone to spam dashes with this.
- By person, I literally mean person: side blogs, RP blogs, etc. do not count (unless they’re your main blog I suppose).
- Live on planet Earth? We’ll do our damnedest to get you your prize(s) if you win.
- You don’t HAVE to be a follower to reblog and win, though it would be cool, since this is celebrating the follower count.
- The giveaway will last from today, July 3, until 11:59 PM on July 13 (central time). That’s 10 days for it to circulate.

Just a few more quick notes. The scalemates will, at the most, take a week each to make. I’ll try to get them done faster, but I would count on waiting about that long. Salahare will have all the badges done by mid-August at the latest depending on requests and additional waiting will be purely because of shipping.
Also, both Salahare and I live in the US, so any winners who live in other countries, especially overseas, will have to wait longer for shipping. On that note, while we are prepared to pay for shipping, it would be pretty cool if any overseas winners helped us out a bit.
