- Marilyn Manson: Absolutely. They're designed to make people think. But the point with a bible or a flag is to say, it's only as valid as you make it in your heart. A piece of paper or a piece of cloth doesn't mean anything. It's what you believe. And I want people to think about what they believe. I want them to consider if everything they've been taught if that's what they want to believe or if that's what they've been told they have to believe.
Gentlemen: A scenario
Let’s say you have a girlfriend.
She’s a bit possessive. She mistakenly believes that you’re cheating on her.
She decides to teach you a lesson.
She waits to have sex with you, then stages a rape.
She calls the cops and get you picked up.
Your DNA is all over the place. She has bruises.
They’re saying it’s an open and shut case. She’s going to testify.
Do you know what your options are?
Best case scenario, you spend gobs of money (if you have it) to beat the case and pray she isn’t a compelling liar.
Worst case scenario, you’re going to jail for a crime you did not commit.
Now, I set this up with a unstable vindictive girlfriend.
Whether it COULD happen or not isn’t the point.
The point of this is to illustrate the lack of options OR recourse available to a man in this position.
A woman with the will to can easily place a man in jail with no one to help him.
Unpopular/Controversial Opinions:
If you’re White in America you are privileged.
Blacks & Latinos can be racist.
Disagreeing with a POC does not automatically make one ‘white-identifying’ or internally racist.
Black & Latinos are suspicious in the eyes of the law.
Black & Latino does not equal suspicious in reality.
Blacks & Latinos inherit a fear of police. Not because they are guilty but because in America they are guilty until proven innocent.
Black and Latinos are not ‘purposely poor’ so they can receive welfare/handouts.
Police in America are bias.
Immigrants are people.
Americans are immigrants (excluding Native Americans).
Immigrants deserve an education.
Immigrants are exploited in America (low wages, horrid work conditions, etc.).
Mexicans are not lazy and those who say this are often the first to say Mexicans steal hard working jobs.
America caters to Whites.
Whites are often oblivious to the hardship minorities go through on a daily basis.
Women deserve equal opportunity.
Men are above women in today’s society (unequal wage, rape, abortion).
Men and women deserve to be treated equally.
Single mothers are discouraged by society.
Single fathers are discouraged by society.
Abortion is not a crime.
An embryo/fetus is not a child.
Gay does not mean promiscuous.
Gays are third class citizens.
Gays should be able to marry.
Gays do not threaten marriage.
Gays do not want to be your best friend.
Gays are not like those on television.
Lesbians are not promiscuous.
Lesbians are more accepted in society than gay men.
Lesbian does not equal butch.
Lesbians do not want your penis.
Bisexuals are real.
Bisexual does not equal promiscuous.
Bisexuals are criticized by both gays and straights.
Bisexual does not mean confused.
Gays and Lesbians may sometimes claim to be bisexual because they are afraid.
LGBT persons are criticized everyday.
It is not easy to be LGBT.
If you are straight you do not understand what it means to be LGBT.
Trans are people.
Trans are criticized by every person no matter what sexuality.
Trans does not equal confused.
Trans deserve equal rights.
Trans deserve the right to marry whomever they like.
Gays and Lesbians can be ignorant too.
Sexuality is fluid.
Church is not separate from state.

Superintendent of the year expected to be sentenced today
- what Lorenzo Garcia, the former superintendent of the El Paso, Texas Independent School District, will get sentenced today for his part in a scheme which fraudulently inflated test scores in his school district.
- why The way the district did it was particularly messed-up — they held back numerous low-performing students in the ninth grade so they didn’t take part in the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills test, which students take in the tenth grade.
