So I have to think about modding my NES

I kinda want to bend the 4th pin on the 10NES chip to get rid of the region-locking, but I’m also afraid of fucking the whole system up.

But if I DO mess it up, I’ll have an excuse to buy a new one, or maybe even one of the NES 101 models, if I could find it. But the thing is, I don’t want to have a bricked NES on my hands if I do it wrong. So now I have to look at how to do it in more detail before I make a decision.

Anyone out there have any advice or warnings before I make my final decision?
