Comic Book Ladies
I do agree that women in comic books are way over sexualized and drawn with exaggerated features and are positioned in just about impossible back-breaking postures. As well as wearing “armor” that more or less is only there as a bikini and would protect no one really. IE Wonder Woman, Red Sonja etc. And yes I think its wrong and misleading as well as creating overly perfected women that don’t really exist…. however…
As an artist and a lady that likes ladies and draws mostly comic book ladies too, i just love drawing women that way. I admit completely that it is hypocritical of me to realize this and yet still draw and support women portrayed that way, and even worse that i’m aware of it. I still draw typically only women, and more likely than not they have big boobs, butt, tiny waist, and less armor than would be good in battle.
Idk I guess that’s why they’re “super” and amazon like, because typically most women are not. Either way, over the summer I’m planning on drawing some real women from some girls who have agreed to model for me XD (hopefully as well as guys). i SUCK at drawing guys, but hey maybe i can get a model guy too ^^
