Former Bullies make pop music that sounds like it has been submerged in a bath and played down a tin can and a piece of string telephone but also has more hooks than coat rack. I had the immense pleasure of seeing them support Sic Alps in Manchester a couple of years back and without ever having heard of them had me won over within five minutes (and about three songs!) Immediate without being obvious, they sound like early Beatles by way of GBV. Planetarium is indicative of their scrappy, short and fun guitar pop, all aided by some wry lyrics about losing a girl. They have released two fantastic full lengths on cassette through Manchester label Comfortable On A Tightrope. Plantarium comes from their first Greetings.
