I don't normally do things like this but please hear me out
On 10/20/12 my family and I are taking part in a 24 hour gaming marathon where all the money we raise will be donated to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. We are doing this through a charity called Extra Life and 100% of the proceeds will go toward helping kids who are dealing with things they should never have to, such as cancer and cystic fibrosis. This is really important to my family because in February 2008 we lost my sister Kaela Beth Dejesus to Meningitis which was devastating but the people at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia did everything they could to take care of her and us. I want to make sure another family doesn’t have to go through what we did, parents shouldn’t have to bury their children, and siblings shouldn’t have to deal with the death of another so early in life.
Our goal isn’t outrageous, we’re trying to raise $1000, and my personal goal is $200, but I would love to smash that. I have around 270 followers, and I don’t expect everyone to donate, or to even donate a large sum, but if you donate a bit, or reblog this and pass it on I believe that we can do something great here. I’m not asking for a lot, but please consider helping out.
