Less than 12 hours to go...
OK….we’ve got less than 12 hours to go. I’ll be at work till 5pm today and then I’m bolting out of here to do the last bit of packing and then hitting the road with the crew. This is the most driving I have ever done in my life! This is also my first experience with the mid-west. I’m looking forward to a change of pace other than my rushed NYC daily life. I’ve got so much on my mind right now, I just really hope everything goes smoothly. Lots of driving, lots of singing, lots of music…good times. Said goodbye to the love of my life this morning, I am going to miss him terribly :( wish he could come. I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder. Maybe I’ll write a song about it…duh…LOL. Anyway, life is short, and there is so much to see. There is a quote that I live by: “The desk is a terrible place from which to view the world.”- John le Carre. (especially in an office with no windows.) Well said, John…well said.
Not Everyone Can Survive a Zombie Apocalypse
Not going to go into details but let’s just say as my good friend Kat Pactong of Kick Snare Clap put it: “Not Everyone Can Survive a Zombie Apocalypse.”
Sometimes things become way too stressful. Throw in some alcohol, mix in a few divas from different sides of the country, a trailer on it’s last limb and there you have it. On that note…
I will be on a plane, at noon from Nashville to Austin looking forward to part 2 of my adventure. Jamming with Mike Rocket on Tuesday night official SXSW showcase at Trinity Hall, Thurs @ The Carousel Lounge, and Friday 2pm at Hyde Park Grill.
Want to thank Amy and John for letting us stay in their lovely home. They were so kind to us. Anyone in the Lebanon TN area should call Amy for some of her Mary Kay products. She’s working towards a Pink Cadillac :)
See ya’ll in Austin tonight!!
