The list...
…of footballers I met and/or talked to during the Match against Poverty:
At the press conference/hotel:
Zinedine Zidane (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Holy fucking hell! No words! He is a God, even for real! Also really nice to the fans, but damn it…so many freaks, it was enough for me to stand next to him for half an hour and enjoy the view and…share looks with him during the press conference *dead* When he walked out I stumbled bc of all the journalists who became autograph hunters. And I stumbled into his direction. I do admit now I could’ve…maybe sidesteped but I didn’t and so I feel towards him and our bodies met in a sadly very unsexual way. *lol* Nevertheless I had goosebumps all over my body! I am a bit ashamed that I did that. But in the end I ended up being the only fan who touched Zidane there, so who cares! *lol*)
Ronaldo (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! And he came off really down to earth and nice. I accidently took a pic of his cheek when he walked in bc the camera wouldn’t load and by the time it finally took the pic he walked right past me…damn camera!)
Jens Lehmann (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Seemed super down to earth and like some normal guy. Was satisfied watching him check into the hotel, I didn’t want to interrupt him bc he seemed like just a normal guest who wanted to have his privacy.)
Didier Drogba :D Kinda Gangsta but still seemed nice
At the airport the next day when I checked in for my flight, ie by chance OMFG!:
Christian Karembeu (He freakin’ recognized me! Super nice guy! Congratulated me for my wise choise on which team is the best ever *lol*)
Steve McManaman (super nice as well, when I told Christian that France 98 was my favorite team of all time, he jumped right next to us and started a funny argument with us on why England was so much better than France! *rofl* I satisfied him by saying that I didn’t mind Liverpool and that I am a Madridista *haha* It was a pleasure meeting you too, Steve!)
Dida (he was weird, he refused to sign for me even though I was the only fan there)
Michel Salgado (super cute! He even asked where exactly he should sign my press kit that I sneaked out of the press conference, bc he didn’t want his signature to smudge *aww* )
Also several players looked into my direction during the match bc I had a huge sign made for Zizou. As far as I could see I was also the only person with a sign in the entire stadium *lol* Everybody else had just flags. I got quite some compliments from other fans as well. I am not 100% sure if the man it was meant for saw it. He was waving in my direction and smiled twice. But I was surrounded by a ton of crazy fans with Algerian flags. I hope though that his reaction was for me and not for these annoying guys who stood on their seats and kept some children and my poor mom from seeing something, idiots! I was so happy when the security took care of them…
These were the craziest two days of my life!!!!!!
