A Frightened Child's Prayer

I’m frightened God, the world’s so large
there’s so much to learn and see and do
I frequently don’t know which way to go
and today I could use a friend like you

Some days arrive with so much sorrow
tears fall down like rain and I can’t smile
too often I feel like I’ve been left alone
would you please walk with me awhile

Thank you for spending time with me
I feel better and maybe even stronger
please forgive me, I know you’re busy
but could you stay here a little longer
