Okay this is not a scam I need you all to help. If a picture of a cute boy can 2,000 notes this needs to get just as much
Today a tornado hit Moore, OK. As of now, 24 children were killed at a school. I don’t know how many more causalities there are but help is needed. If you could please take a second and make a donation that would be wonderful. If you can’t make the donation let’s just get this circulating so followers can see.
Send your love.
Namaste,

Time will tell
I find it interesting that many of the people I follow are, apparently, not typical Tumblr users according to numerous articles I’ve read.
Most stories refer to how Tumblr users are typically here for self expression through video, .gifs, images, etc, as well as expressing their personal creativity, Most users don’t typically use Tumblr to express their thoughts in writing like so many people I follow do. I found this article in today’s NY Times particularly interesting and it addresses this.
The statistics interest me too.
According to Quantcast, only about half of Tumblr users are from the US, Canada, Australia and UK yet these countries comprises about 98% of my own personal demographic experience. I barely catch glimpses of the Tumblr non English speaking world.
Also, According to Quantcast only 5% of Tumblr users are older than me. This statistic jars me the most but maybe it’s not a bad thing. As I get older, it’s good that I’m exposed to so many younger people to keep me fresh and current.
I know most of the people I follow have created their own personal niche that is pretty unique and different from how most people use Tumblr. Maybe that’s the real beauty of this site. Tumblr’s a clean slate where you can do whatever you want. There are few rules.
For me, its the social interaction of Tumblr that I find so appealing. I love reading about your lives and getting to know you all. If that’s not what rocks most people’s boats on Tumblr, and it’s not how they use it, I guess that’s ok.
I just hope that if many of you abandon this site in the coming weeks, months, and years, there are people left behind to write their thoughts and who are interested in what I have to say. I also hope this site doesn’t get over-run with advertising and tracking software, because that may be the impetus for me to leave.
There will always be something new that’s developed by someone who spends a few years developing a base of users before they add ways to generate income. Facebook and Twitter were like this before those sites became overrun with ads and sponsored posts.
I suspect in a few years, many of us will discover a new place to express ourselves.
We shall see.
