To all of you who are leaving for Phoenix Comicon: you guys have a great time, okay? Have fun meeting the actors and meeting each other, have heaps of fun at the B5 fan panel, have fun with everything. I wish I could be there, but I’ll just have to settle for thinking about all of you A LOT and sending you all the good thoughts and reading your squee-filled con posts, which I hope there will be! See you all really soon! (and, psst, avelera: there will be 45k of finished fic waiting for you when you get back, I promise!)
i have this theory that somewhere on your computer there is a file entitled "gillian anderson reaction pics/gifs" and within that folder there is a folder entitled " TOP SECRET absolutely insanely adorable and ridiculous reaction photos of gillian anderson" that you've collected over the years and i kinda want to break into your house and steal it secret agent style ok thats it byeeeee
i haven’t the slightest idea what you are talking about tbh nope
question about the brakiri day of the dead stuff (specifically for our all fall down!verse)
how much do the people who come back rememberabout their time back in the world of the living? like it’s established that once they come back that night, they remember everything about their lives and how they died, but once they leave, do they remember that they came back? do they remember their conversations with the people they visited?
specifically i’m asking because i’m writing nu!lizzie/nu!zoe and i’m trying to figure out if reincarnated zoe remembers that when she died the first time she came back and talked to elizabeth and then left and … floated around in limbo until she was born again as falenn and got her memories back?
she’ll either think we’re adorable or complete freaks. probably both tbh. i haven’t seen us lose our collective shit (to this extent anyway) in a looooong time. possibly since you guys first came up with the au?
probably both tbh xD
idk i’m not sure even the reincarnation!au led to such a collective flipping out
#please tell me the risk game is going to be there
Yep. It’s probably really terrible (I tried testing it by playing against myself and let me tell you, four-player B5 Risk solo is an endeavor) and I haven’t made the cards/board any more official than Post-Its, but we should get at least thirty minutes of entertainment out of it.
ameliaearharts replied to your post: i’m gonna eat the next person who tries to woobify…
I’m not anywhere near that kinkmeme but I assume a lot of the woobifying is also related to their precious Bookmarking Chihuahua playing Khan.
catherinelefay replied to your post: i’m gonna eat the next person who tries to woobify…
I that has more to do with the fact he’s played by bendydick cumbertwat
oh i’m positive that’s where 95% of it comes from (and 100% sure it’s where all the bbc sherlock crossovers come from)
a+ nicknaming you two
womanonthestair reblogged your post: ‘I just want Jim swarming up Khan like someone…
Is this an intentional “Shatner of the Mount” reference, or an unintentional one?
i have no idea and knowing this kinkmeme i don’t want one
womanonthestair replied to your post: kirk/spock shippers who like to pretend uhura…
Does this apply to re!boot shippers only, or both? Because honestly in original verse Uhura didn’t really have much to do with Kirk/Spock slash except constantly being endangered like the rest of the crew by questionable command decisions?
reboot shippers only
i’m on the into darkness kinkmeme and regretting ever minute of it, especially the countless ‘please write uhura and spock breaking up and then [long detailed k/s prompt]’
You totally did so congrats on somehow not being picked up by our new fan radar! I will admit that it did feel a bit like you had always been here, but coming in any way is acceptable so long that you’re here!!
I always play a rouge, so I guess it’s just rubbing off on me. lol.
I have always been here.
I like the sound of that!
Oof. Woke up feeling like I was going to vomit. Can’t remember the last time I was actually sick. Fortunately I didn’t, but now I know not to try to eat two dishes at Sakura at 1:30 in the morning.
Also, wtf was yesterday. There was the annual croquet game against the Naval Academy (they won, apparently, the 6th time in like 31 years), there was the opening performance of the show that has been consuming my life for months, there were a metric fuckton of drunkards in Sakura, and basically all over Annapolis, nearly causing me to have a panic attack, and, um, other stuff. Yeah.
And a common thread between all those is Catherine, interestingly enough. Everyone should have a Catherine in their life.
You guys are way, way too kind. That was some drivel that came to me in an admittedly intoxicated state. But thank you all the same.
Truth be told, I’ve always wanted my two favorite characters to get together, but I also knew it would not make the least bit of sense. And so, in a moment of drunken silliness, inspired by stuff I’m currently reading, I realized that one perfect moment was all they would ever need. And of course it would be as he was dying, and she would never know the alternate reality in which they kicked ass and took names and chewed bubblegum and saved all the worlds.
Attention Phoenix Comicon Fandom Panel Panelists
Our panel has been confirmed and there is an ongoing discussion of the details going on on Facebook. If possible, please message me with your Facebook contact information so I can invite you to the proper group. If you do not have Facebook or you do not want to share your Facebook information, a message explaining this would be very helpful also.
I look forward to seeing you there~~
Attention potential Phoenix Comicon Panelists
I need your email addresses. I’m trying to move us forward on this panel but I need an easier way to reach all of you, especially when you’re not on Tumblr.
Second, I’ve already been informed that seven panelists seems a bit high. It could potentially be worked out, but I’d prefer to take people from the list because they can’t make it, if possible. So what I will also need is a clear re-statement of intention as to whether you will be at the Con and if you’re still interested AND ABLE to being on the panel.
catherinelefay said: Hey, don’t beat yourself up. Writing is writing, and practice never hurts. And you should totally publish it (if you haven’t already) because I enjoy hearing what you have to say.
nanceoir said: I have to respectfully disagree with your premise here. Expressing your feelings is absolutely a productive use of your words. It may not progress your novel right now, but being able to express yourself is absolutely a necessary skill for a writer.
I guess character analysis can help with writing? And I doubt I would’ve been able to spend that time on my actual novel, since I’m at a bit of a block right now, but maybe other writing will help me get through that block?
(and Catherine, I did publish it—it’s the hilariously long post about why Kosh is one of my favorites)
