I am absolutely awful at this whole funeral thing.

A Game of Cat and Mouse || Julyberry

The second Rachel had told her to go and find her Cassie had forced not to start running out towards the living room, because she knew she would end up looking far too eager and possibly desperately. It happened far too often for her own good, and no matter how many times she tried to stop herself, she still found it happening more often than not. It wasn’t her fault though, if Rachel stopped practically drawing Cassie in ever chance she got she was sure she would be able to calm down. However, the brunette had practically made it her mission to make sure the sex never left their relationship, and it was something Cassie just had to love her for. That unwillingness to let anything change between them and keep things from falling into a boring routine was one of the many reasons she absolutely adored her girlfriend - and hopefully someday her wife.

She tossed back the covers just seconds after she had tossed her phone aside, and she clambered out of bed, trying so hard not to slip on the freshly leaned hardwood and land flat on her face. It was an impossible task it seemed, but she managed to force her body forwards and caught herself on the wall. For a moment she shook her head, laughing under her breath as she straightened up and flattened out the front of the tank top she had worn to bed; she was so sure she looked like a thirteen year old boy who had just been told he could have sex with his dream girl, as long as he got to the living room in under thirty seconds. She checked herself in the mirror before she nodded, sure that she looked at least somewhat presentable, her feet finally carrying her out towards the living room soon after. She slowly ran her tongue along her lips, the taste of coffee still faintly present, as her eyes wandered over to Rachel. “Here I am, where’s my prize?”

@Cassie, the meanest ever to me!!

crazy-cassandra:

You’re just jealous because he’s got a real six pack.

Mmm… Yeah, about that… No.

Impromptu Date || Julyberry

After spending almost her entire afternoon online, talking to what seemed to be a sudden influx of people from around town who had joined Tumblr, she decided to take a small break and actually spend time face-to-face with her wife, instead of talking over the internet. She was well aware that it had been while since the two of them had really done anything together, and things seemed somewhat strained at times ever since they had moved from New York, but she was hoping things could level out – even if she was now living in her own personal form of Hell by the name of Lima. Despite it all she did love her wife, something that should have been very obvious to anyone who knew either of them well enough, and she just wanted to get through what Cassie could only call a rough patch so they could get back to the way they used to be. After prying herself from the couch, she tucked away her laptop and made her way through the house to the room she and Rachel shared, quickly changing out of her usual work clothes and into something a little more appropriate for going out.

It was only when she was finally ready and her hair was fixed to perfection that she walked back out, her head ducked down as she typed out a text for Joanna. She knew her daughter well enough to know that she would want an explanation to her mothers’ whereabouts if she woke up and found both of them missing. For a second her thumb hovered over the send button, almost considering just staying home instead to make sure Jo wouldn’t end up worrying or she wouldn’t get a text in the middle of her time with Rachel, asking them to come home because she was having a low moment. But it was some well deserved time alone with her wife, and she couldn’t seem to just give that up, and so her thumb tapped the send button before she walked through the house looking for the older brunette. “Rach? Ready to go yet?”

One for the Road. || Julyberry

Cassandra couldn’t recall how she ended up in the convenience store, only that she had been wandering through the empty streets hours earlier in the hopes of finding a place that wasn’t overrun by the undead. She knew she shouldn’t have been out at all, the risk was too great and she wasn’t all that handy with any weapons outside of the small pocket knife that now never left her side, but she had run out of liquor far too long ago and she was starting to feel the effects of her emotions to the point where she needed to find some relief. It was becoming harder to find now, most of the major stores had been broken into long ago and was now occupied by those who had been bitten while in search of the exact same thing she was, so she had taken to raiding any store that seemed otherwise untouched – but they were also father between and more risky to get to. It was all foolish, really.

Somewhere in the midst of it all she had found a place, though, and by the time she had come back to a conscious state she had demolished an entire bottle of rum that now lay beside her on the dusty floor and was working on the second. Her head was pounding, and her stomach was churning uncomfortably from the combination of too much rum and an empty stomach – clearly she hadn’t thought to down a box of crackers before laying into the alcohol. Despite the physical pain, though, it seemed as though the alcohol was working and she could pretend for a minute that her life wasn’t in danger and she could be killed at any second, and that her entire life was absolutely worthless now that everyone was gone. With a small groan she pulled out her silver flask with shaking hands and did her best to fill it with some of the rum, so that she could have some for the road while she tried to find a safe place to sleep.

So, How is everyone? I've been a little busier with work but have taken a break for the weekend.
