Person of Interest:Just watched 2x12 and it's pretty clear!! It's all right in front of us
I dont care what anyone says, there are feelings there. Strong feelings. The way they looked at each other when she was interrogating him. the way Reese looked at Carter when he apologized(I love this character but not everything is his fault. He sure blames himself alot)

I mean Carter could not bare to look at the monitor while Reese was getting beaten up and that could have been just sign of her concern for him had the scene ended with that, but no it didnt. Carter stormed in the room like the fierce queen that she is and got shit done. That is a sign of the feelings that are brewing for Reese and it sure aint just friendship y’all.

I’m pretty sure(cant be 100% because I dont write this show) they’re moving towards that direction. Does not mean it’s going to happen next season, or the two seasons after that but it’s finally going somewhere. And just think when it happens, what state will we be in?

Carter/Reese: a sort of ship manifesto
Reese said that one thing you learn “over there” in Iraq/Afghanistan is that you’re alone and no one is coming to save you. And then we see that Carter learned that same lesson. They share those wars and that knowledge. It’s a thing that can’t be explained. Not really. Not to someone who hasn’t been there. But they know it in their bones. They know it beyond the need for words to explain. They understand something fundamental to each other. And over here they’re both committed to making sure that people don’t feel that way. They protect. They’re both alpha warriors, fighting to make sure there are less people in their territory who feel alone and afraid and like they’ll never be saved. And they do that for each other too. He wants her to know that, no matter what, he’s there for her. She’s not alone. And she grows to be there for him too. They are so beautiful when they fight side-by-side.
The fascinating thing is that she’s the noble Lawful Good knight with her proper NYPD detective’s shield. She knows who she is. In a department rife with corruption and complacency, her dedication to using policing to pursue justice is like a beacon. And Reese is the Chaotic Good “ronin.” His NYPD shield is fake, stolen from a dirty cop. When he pretends to be a cop, he uses the name of a corrupt one. When he’s honest, he doesn’t have much of an answer when people ask “what are you?” He helps people, but he has no coherent and honorable social role the way Carter does. They are the same in so many ways, but they approach their calling to protect from different places and that creates tension that is so awesome because it’s not about either of them being wrong. It’s about how people who are truly fighting every day to make “good decisions” (even if Reese doesn’t believe he can be a good person anymore, even if it’s hard for anyone to always know what the “good decision” is in a given situation) can nonetheless disagree on methods and philosophy. They continue to respect each other and do right by each other as best they can, even when they disagree and their respective struggles to make a “good decision” come in conflict.
I just see so much potential for them to find an understanding that doesn’t even need to be spoken in each other. And a little peace, a little tenderness. A measure of joy. They both understand how important their respective callings are to them and they could make each other happy without ever demanding that the other let go of their higher purpose the way lovers who aren’t warriors the way they are might.
I just… you know all the reasons why people slash characters who are military “brothers in arms”? That’s a big part of why I ship Carter and Reese. They’re brothers in arms. We just happen to live in a world that doesn’t respect women warriors enough for the term for that kind of solitary to be gender inclusive. But that’s what they are. I think it’s brilliant that we’re getting such a respectful depiction of a woman veteran on TV and that it makes it possible for them to read this way.
i notice on ur blog u ship carter and reese on poi. can i ask why? and this is definitely not an attack on the ship or me being snide about ur shipping choices. i'm really asking out of genuine curiosity because i'm personally pretty torn on shipping them since reese is so emotionally unhealthy. just wanted to see someone else's perspective on them. :)
That’s a… complicated question/answer for me lol. I love the chemistry between Taraji and Jim, the scenes they have together are always incredible.
To be completely honest with you, “shipping” for me doesn’t always mean that I want the two characters to be in a romantic relationship with one another. 85% of the time it does, the remaining 15% of my ships fall into a more complex category. That’s where Carter/Reese currently are right now. I love their scenes together, I love how they’ve been growing and learning about one another this season. And I can’t wait to see what’s up next for them.
On Reese being emotionally unhealthy… I honestly think that all the main characters on that show are a little bit emotionally unhealthy. They’ve all been through difficult things and they’re all trying to cope with their past in different ways. So if something were to get in the way of me shipping Reese and Carter, it probably wouldn’t be that lol.
PERSON OF INTEREST: About Carter and Reese!
Almost finished with the first season and it’s getting really good. Person of Interest is an amazing show. I wonder though- as a hardcore Carter x Reese shipper, has there been any mention of that relationship developing. Do the creators even know that a big part of the fandom wants them together?

If it will , it wont happen now of course but are we just shipping a pairing who have no chance in hell of happening.
CASE IN POINT, the two main characters from Rizolle and Isles. I dont watch it. but from my dash there’s some hard core fangirling going on with those characters. The difference here is that the two girls are straight. But still you know what I mean right?

If it will happen, I dont want it to happen now. Reese is still obviously affected by his ex death and Carter is not ready. I think for her to be read she needs to grow closer to the characters and accept the situation that she is in. But still, this was just something I was wondering.
