This Sudden Injury

This Sudden Injury and The Recovery! are playing 19th September in the Captains Rest.

Cant wait to see this gig! Gonna be amazing!

had a great time at IIOI at Captains Rest tonight...

always awesome hanging out with Emma and Gordy, two of my closest and best friends. always good chat and laughter.

headed downstairs for the midway point of a really great band called The Great Albatross. really enjoyed their set, excellent music supported by great stage presence and banter.

As I’ve said before on here, Evan is one of my favourite live acts. the dude was born to tell stories, either in song or simply by talking. he holds your attention so well and is very genuine. he just needs to remember that Scotland and England are seperate countries and we don’t really like being called one and the same haha! a pretty long set tonight or it felt like it. amazing.

was nice seeing folk I haven’t seen in a while. and it was really nice of Steven to come say hi. I’ve been going to Struggletown shows for a long time now and I’ve only spoken to Steven once but he came over to talk for a bit and I really appreciated it. awesome dude.

Suuns tonight at the Captain’s Rest was absolutely wonderful. Played amazingly and even had a shimmy along to them even though I went by myself.

I’d like to thank those two people (who I am assuming were on drugs and/or fucking trashed on booze) for dancing like crazy. It was a nice change to see that, rather than the whole crowd seeming as though they are dead.

Thanks again.

COME TO CAPTAIN'S REST TOMORROW!

Cities and Eras are playing a FREE gig tomorrow night! I’ll be heading there early with my lady to grab some dinner and lounge in the sun.

Braids were absolutely wonderful tonight. Had another shimmy at the back by myself, well, some guy joined in too who recognised me from Suuns last weekend.

The Glasgow crowd are definitely letting me down. Heavily disappointed tonight. Half of the crowd just stood there looking bored and the other half were playing with their phones.

Anyway. Time to concentrate of my fucking toothache.

Trapped in Kansas were fantastic tonight.

I also experienced that whole “holy shit, my mind has been blown” feeling you get after seeing a superbly intense band play and that hasn’t happened since I last saw Trapped In Kansas at Wickerman - thanks for that, Bellow Below.
