You don’t know if you can take much more of the suspense. He would be knocking on your door any minute now, and you’re fully prepared to throw your arms around him and hug him like you’ve waited for this moment all your life. And the funny thing is, you have been. Immersed in your thoughts, you aren’t as immediate to jump up and answer the door as you intended to be. When you do, it’s all smiles and almost awkward first hellos. You wouldn’t have it any other way though. Except for when he leans forward and kisses you. Then you know it couldn’t possibly get any better. It’s so soft and almost timid in a way, but it sends butterflies furiously making their way around your insides. And then you know that the moment is perfect.
